CRIB Point Community Garden, Somerville Rise Primary School and Somerville Fire Brigade are the first groups to share in the annual community grant of $5000 from Peninsula Quarries. The grants go to community groups in the Somerville, Tyabb and Mornington areas for projects supporting the environment. Crib Point Community Garden will receive $1750 for a 4000-litre water tank. This will enable environmentally responsible watering of the garden which provides fresh food for welfare groups. HASTINGS MP Neale Burgess has made clear his opposition to AGL’s plans to import gas via Crib Point with the placing of a large sign at Crib Point.
