Police have identified the victim whose body was located at a property in Tyabb as 39-year-old Jade Goodwin.
Investigators believe that Jade was buried at the vacant rural property on Dandenong-Hastings road on Sunday 22 October.
It is believed that he was last seen alive on 13 October.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw Jade between 13 October and 22 October or anything of interest at the property or around Dandenong-Hastings road.
