Athletes out to beat suicide

ANYTIME Fitness centres at Mornington, Rosebud and Hastings will take part in a 24 hour Treadmill Challenge on Saturday 25 May to raise awareness of the issues surrounding suicide.

At the Mornington centre Christopher Ali will attempt to complete the whole 24 hours himself on a single treadmill.

Last year Anytime Fitness centres raised $390,000 and this year they aim to raise $600,000.

The challenge comes after the gyms teamed up with Suicide Prevention Australia to reduce the devastating impacts of suicide, which claims about 3000 lives each year.

Register for the 24-hour Treadmill Challenge at treadasone.gofundraise.com.au

Anytime Fitness centres are at:
Level 1, 105-107 Main Street, Mornington (call 5973 6667);
1255 Point Nepean Road, Rosebud (5981 1002); and
77 High Street, Hastings (5979 8237)
