THE Mornington Tourist Railway is back in business after undergoing minor repairs in April, giving passengers the experience of train travel from a bygone era.
On Sundays, the volunteer-run heritage train takes passengers on a return trip from Moorooduc to Mornington, travelling through scenic parts of the area.
On Sunday 13 August the railway will be the setting for a rock-n-roll afternoon. A fun day out for all ages, there will be Elvis sandwiches of toasted peanut butter and bacon.
There will also be face painting, a coffee van, and the chance to win one of 100 first edition Elvis stamps from 1993.
To book go to the Mornington Tourist Railway web page.
To help keep the train service operating, the railway is looking for volunteers.
