A MAN was assaulted and seriously beaten after flicking a cigarette butt onto Main St, Mornington, 1.30am, Sunday 3 September.
Detective Senior Sergeant Miro Majstorovic, of Mornington Peninsula CIU, said the 21-year-old Seaford man was walking with his girlfriend and a mate in the hotel precinct when the attack occurred. He said a Mazda utility stopped and the passenger got out and started punching the victim to the face, causing a broken nose, chipped teeth, cuts and bruising.
He was taken to Frankston Hospital for treatment.
