A MOTORBIKE rider came a cropper while fleeing coppers after clipping the wheel of a 4 wheel drive on Frankston-Flinders Road near Balnarring on Tuesday 20 March.
The 33-year-old Bittern rider decided to avoid a police roadside testing operation at Hodgins Road and “booted it” on a Harley Davidson bike. His bike crossed the road line and clipped the 4WD travelling in the opposite direction along Frankston-Flinders Road.
The rider, believed to be unlicensed, was airlifted to The Alfred hospital with a broken arm and leg and facial injuries. The driver of the 4WD was unharmed.
