Police were at the scene of a car crash in Mornington that has claimed the life of a woman this morning.
It’s believed a vehicle was travelling south along the Moorooduc Highway when the driver lost control on a bend and crashed into a tree in the centre medium strip about 11.30am.
The male driver was taken to The Alfred by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
A female passenger, aged in her 80s, died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
A male passenger, aged in his 90s, was airlifted to The Alfred with critical injuries.
