A man has died following a two-car collision in Somerville this afternoon.
It’s believed the driver of a Daihatsu travelling on Western Port Highway has veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided head on with a Mitsubishi just before 2.30pm.
The sole occupant of the Daihatsu, a yet to be formally identified man, died at the scene.
The sole occupant of the Mitsubishi was not injured but taken to hospital for observation as a precaution.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined at this stage.
