A ROSEBUD man who allegedly stabbed a Woolworth’s supermarket staff member has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury and other assault-related charges. The 25-year-old, who was arrested in nearby Sixth Avenue, was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date. The incident occurred while the staffer was collecting trolleys in the car park of the Rosebud West supermarket, 1pm, Tuesday 17 March. Victoria Police is today announcing a $1 million reward as part of the investigation into the death of Janita McNaughton on Western Port Bay in 1983. Janita, then 23 years old, was on board a boat along with four other people on 27 December 1983. A Peninsula Aero Club instructor and student were among four people killed in an aircraft collision near Mangalore this morning. Emergency services were called to two separate crash scenes east of the Mangalore airfield about 11.25am. It is believed two aircraft have collided mid-air before crashing. A SAD fatality took place on Sunday last, the victim being Mr Angus Sharkey, who was visiting at “Beachleigh,” the residence of Mrs Forster, Mornington Road. Homicide detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman at Seaford yesterday afternoon. Police were called to Whitby Way where the woman was found with stab wounds about 4.40pm.
