Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following alleged assaults and attempted carjackings in Frankston yesterday morning. Officers responded to reports of a woman being assaulted near the intersection of Cranbourne and Lindrum roads about 11am. It is alleged a man threatened several people in a carpark. He allegedly approached a woman and made demands for her car keys, before assaulting her. Passers-by assisted the woman, who was not seriously injured, and the man fled the scene on foot.
