Mornington Peninsula Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a spate of burglaries across the southern suburbs. Police are investigating after small businesses were targeted in 15 incidents between 15 May and 8 June. In each instance two unknown offenders have forced entry to a business, usually by smashing a glass door. The offenders appear to have been solely focused on stealing cash, usually going directly to the register before fleeing the scene.
